A world-based manufacturer of household electronic appliances, Daewoo Electronics boasts of its well-rounded competitiveness in the market, a result of its persistent technological development with the customer's convenience in mind. The Company's global network of more than 70 bases for production, R&D and sales has enabled it to have a full and speedy grasp of the needs of local customers in each region of the world.

Currently, active efforts are made by the Company to cope with the rapidly changing environment to establish a sound foundation for a courageous take-off to join the ranks of world-class businesses both in name and substance. Included in such efforts is an ongoing restructuring aimed at becoming a multimedia and comprehensive household appliance business with a sound profit structure. In addition to the above, Daewoo Electronics also plan to sell off or integrate/reduce non-core or poor-performing businesses or idle assets, rearrange business organizations at various levels and improve its manpower structure.
What the Company also seeks is maximization of the operating revenue in the existing businesses through company wide (including sub-contractors) efforts for improvement of the cost structure. This also includes fostering the development of the multimedia business to ultimately become the Company's core unit, being able to guarantee high profit and growth through the selection and concentration as well as strategic alliances.

The customer's ultimate satisfaction is Daewoo Electronics' “raison d'être” and the Company will realize the vision of becoming the world leader that sets the standard for others in the industry in the 21st Century.
