Advances in
optical technology
Due to sophisticated optical technology and excellent picture quality, rear projection
devices are becoming popular in Europe. Picture information is generated in either
CRT or LCD engine and reflected on to the screen by means of mirrors. The picture
produced not from the back, but from underneath and then reflected on to the
screen. This is why rear projection requires significantly less space then normal
CRT TV sets. |
